Re-Discover the old masters: Pieter Bruegel the Elder in augmented reality.
Fluxguide is piloting new ways of showing art at the Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien. Visitors see and experience Breugel’s „Children’s Games” (1560) via AR glasses. The seeing and understanding is guided by targeted directional control and iconographic annotations directly on the original image.
Including image interpretation as 3D sound experiences, interactive and modular storytelling.
Fluxguide has been conducting the AWS-funded research project “HoloMuse” since 2018. The project is dedicated to u.a. the exploration of the conceptual and technical possibilities of augmented reality applications in the context of AR-based mediation concepts for museums.
With heartfelt thanks to the Kunsthistorisches Museum and in particular to Mrs. Dr. Rotraut Krall from the art education department.
