Searching for virtual herrings – for the Ozeaneum Stralsund we develop an app that combines navigation and mediation in a balanced way.

Visitors are activated by gamification elements and guided through the museum along digital spots. The visitors are accompanied and guided by the digital avatar Walfred.

“Avatars, digital companions, can enter into dialog with museum guests in a variety of ways. But how can they be used to create added value for the public and museum education? Is AI the basis for this? What are the possibilities for designing assistance systems and what works under which conditions in museum practice?”

On April 28, 2022, we are invited to give a keynote lecture at the museum4punkt0 event “Ask the Avatar!” featuring OZEANEUM – “On the beauty of clever appearances”.
