When using digital media in education, it is important that the implementation is didactically meaningful on the one hand and appealing, motivating and appropriate for the target group on the other.
Based on 3 use cases, we would like to present to you how apps can be used specifically for school classes:
- Next CLick Nirvana: Interactive Learning Platform
- Virtual van de Velde: Collaborative learning experience in team mode
- Jewish Guide Graz: Playful introduction to the museum visit

Museum Rietberg
“Next Click Nirvana” combines the exhibition experience on site with a sustainable digital platform and was awarded the Comenius EduMedia Seal in 2021. Users can use the digital mood board “Clicks” to individually collect their exhibition highlights and deepen their knowledge via a digital glossary. This function is particularly interesting in the context of schools – teachers can use the platform to prepare and design lessons.
Kunstsammlungen Chemnitz – Villa Esche
With the app Virutal van de Velde young people experience a journey through the Jugendstil Villa Esche. In the school class mode, teams can be created and points can be collected together at the various mediation stations. To further motivate the students, the scores of the other teams can be displayed live. At the end, a joint class diploma awaits the students.
Jewish Community Graz

The app Jewish Guide Graz was developed especially for students and young people to break down possible prejudices and barriers through a playful learning experience. The app can be used for distance learning, in the classroom, and as preparation for a visit to the synagogue on site. To enable differentiated access, content can be accessed at different levels of difficulty.
