Our 3 highlight topics of the year!

2023 is approaching in leaps and bounds – it’s time to take a look back at the year together. We want to share our 3 highlight topics of the year with you:

#1 Experience your environment digitally

Outdoor Guiding was a major topic for us in 2022. In addition to the classic function of orientation, the environment can be enriched with in-depth content via app – both in nature and in urban space:

  • Experience nature digitally: Visitors to the Frankenhöhe Nature Park can choose between different tours, expand their knowledge in quiz challenges and collect “nature park friends”.
  • Experience urban space digitally: The app Amigra uses public space and makes Augsburg’s migration and urban history tangible through more than 40 different stations.

#2 NEW: MuseumStars Onsite Mediaguide

We are excited about the development we have seen with MuseumStars in 2022:

  • Since this year, MuseumStars can also be used as a media guide for visitors at the museum (i.a. numpad, tours, map).
  • There are new quiz types (matching tasks, e.g. picture/text)
  • The app is now also available in an English version.
  • For barrier-free use, new features have been added e.g. setting up the app for better readability with larger text and strong contrast, marking content such as sign language or plain language in the app, easy upload and display of subtitles for videos in the app.
  • In addition, the design was renewed.

#3 Using apps for research projects

This year, we were again able to participate in numerous research projects and further push the potential of apps for research projects.

  • Collecting research data: In a joint research project with the Technical University, we have developed an app for collecting research data.“The goal of our research project was to develop an attractive app for students that supports their learning in the museum and allows us to gain insights into their learning behavior. Fluxguide supported us in all project phases with creative ideas, high expertise and great commitment.” (Katrin Neubauer and Doris Lewalter, TU Munich)
  • Visualize research data: Together with UBIMET, Green4Cities , tatwort and BOKU – University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna, we have developed a service tool for the collection, measurement and monetary valuation of greening projects in the research project “Green Valuation”.

We are excited about what topics are waiting for us in the new year!

Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.

Your Fluxguide Team.
