Students, families and groups are sent on an interactive learning journey in the museum via app: Multimedia guide, learning platform, dialogic storytelling, and mini-games. For a holistic visitor experience, additional digital remote offerings are available before and after the visit.

Audio guides through the tours of the permanent exhibition. Stories and information about selected highlight objects of the different exhibitions.

Gamified Education

Interactive, dialog-based storytelling in chatbot format with “mining avatars”.
Developed in 2022: The “Learning Buddies” The interactive gamified offering in chat format for the home, including reward system with badges.

Learning buddies at home

In addition to the hybrid education format we developed in 2019, since 2022 it’s also: take me home and take me further! Here, the avatars become “learning buddies”. Once activated, they regularly inform users* about their new “stories” in podcast style, including everyday tips and quizzes in the app. Each avatar has its own topic, such as science or climate change. For each completed story, there are badges and higher ratings. And for Gold status, there’s a special museum gift!
