Around 100 cameras from a collection of 360 devices can now be explored digitally. As well as providing detailed information about the manufacturer or camera type, the digital collection offers a real highlight for photography enthusiasts: highly detailed 3D views of iconic cameras that provide unique insights into the development of photographic technology. You can see even the smallest details with the zoom function!

Get closer to historic cameras than ever before. A historic pigeon camera, originally designed for aerial photography, is one of the 100 digitized objects. The interactive 3D viewer allows users to examine it from every perspective and explore its intricate details up close.
Highlight: Timeline view
Another highlight of the website is the innovative timeline view, which allows visitors to discover cameras in their historical context. This is complemented by a filter and search function as well as various display modes (tile, list and timeline view).
