Users experience the history of Wiener Neustadt in a playful way and help Maxi, Hase and other Wiener Neustadt characters from the ASAGAN book world.

We have developed a playful city tour for the city of Wiener Neustadt in close collaboration with our project partners, the publishing house Edition 5Haus/ASAGAN and the Museum St. Peter an der Sperr. Children, families and tourists can discover the city’s history on a kind of scavenger hunt. Historical facts and events are conveyed in a playful way through avatar-based storytelling.

The app is available to download for iOS and Android from 15 June here.

MAXI und die Zeitmaschine

The city wall, the famous sgraffito house, the main square with fountain and other places – visitors are guided through the city at 12 stations and learn all kinds of interesting facts about the history of each location. They are guided by Maxi, the protagonist of the app. She loves travelling through time – but her time machine has recently broken down. Users can help Maxi repair the time machine by solving tricky puzzles about the city’s history. For every task solved, Maxi receives a part to repair. Will the time machine be able to start in the end? And what role does the somewhat inscrutable rabbit actually play in the whole thing? The Maxi and the Time Machine app invites you on an unusual tour of the city that visitors young and old won’t soon forget.

Users become the heroes of an interactive adventure from the world of ASAGAN – right in the centre of Wiener Neustadt. The mini-book ‘Maxi and the new city’ is being published by Edition 5Haus at the same time as the app.
