You would like to provide visitors with digital information about your tourist region and look for an application that is easy to use on a daily basis? Voilà: our outdoor app with customized adjustments in the CMS.
We developed a compact outdoor app for Breckenridge, a popular tourist region in Colorado (US).
The clearly designed guide contains all the important features that are relevant for visitors. At the same time, the CMS details tailored to customer needs ensure easy handling.
The result is “B like Breckenridge,” a compact and informative outdoor app with a contemporary design and tailor-made solutions in the CMS.
C for compact and customer-oriented
In the short period between receiving the order and going live, we developed a visually appealing digital guide with all the relevant standard features such as GPS maps, transit information, tour tips, filters, and POIs. It quickly became clear which three topics were also essential for the customer. The challenge was to take these needs into account without compromising the compactness and clarity of the app.

Adjustments in detail
Breckenridge is a year-round destination. In summer, you can hike there, and in winter, you can ski. To reflect this, the client wanted seasonally changing images for the tour pages. Our solution: a program code that automatically changes two images depending on the specified date. This means no manual effort for the customer, who was particularly enthusiastic about this streamlined solution.
In addition, the region’s excellent transport infrastructure had to be shown on the overview map. However, this turned out to be so excellent that our beautiful map no longer looked beautiful. A myriad of black dots (bus stops) made it impossible to see anything clearly. Our solution: moving the bus stops to a separate information layer. This view can now be activated as needed, similar to Google Maps. This means that all the information is available without compromising the clarity of the map.
Tips as widgets
One of the client’s key concerns was to encourage visitors to behave in a more environmentally conscious manner. Our solution: small, color-coded “widgets” with tips that can be freely inserted anywhere in the app, e.g., on the detail pages. Visitors can also read all 21 tips in chronological order.
"You really do have smart developers. I can’t picture a kinder workflow."
